A very early good Sunday morning

Good morning my friends,

It's been another restless night here - I spent a good deal of the night working on a watercolor painting. Nothing special just something to putter on quietly while the rest of the family sleeps.

husband, kt & I worked out in the yard yesterday afternoon (it was a beautiful day). I spent an hour working with kt & husband. I then started supervising as my energy gave out. husband is beginning that caulking around the windows thing that he does each year.

We are having a handyman coming in to clean our gutters & install gutter guards this next week.

husband is heading out to visit wm this afternoon. kt & I have laundry to do - she needs school clothes. She's learning to do this on her own with my supervision.

I've an errand or two to run this morning & that's really it for the day.

Have a good day - it's a day of rest. Enjoy.

G'day, Linda and all to follow.

Good news that kt is learning to do her own laundry - you'll really need that when she hits the fashion parade stage. And the gutters - a regular job for us, especially in summer. They fill up so fast! We've already taught difficult child 3 to get up the ladder and do the gutters. Whenever a fire approaches you see entire families out cleaning their gutters. If the fire gets close, we block the gutters with a tennis ball and fill them with water.

We had a quiet day today. Of course, I remembered too late I was supposed to be at a carers party (for parents of the local drama class kids) but as I woke with a bad headache today I feel justified in not going.

mother in law got a chain letter. She brought it round to show us and I've been researching it. I LOVE digging out scams, spams and glurge. Apparently, some parts of Australia (not our area, unfortunately) are now charging people even for just participating. Our state only gives warnings, even to a bloke I dobbed in who was doing it via email, and who used every email address he had (trying to make them look like different people) on his list. It was just unfortunate for him that he'd corresponded with us a few times and also advertised in an online newsletter difficult child 3 gets, using even more different company names and email addresses. Gotcha!
Interesting info in my research - of all the people getting fined for participating, NONE reported getting any money. The older a scam, the less likely a participant is to ever get any return. It's only the person who starts it, who gets anything much, it seems.

Busy day tomorrow - husband & I see our pain specialist, difficult child 3 has worn through his jeans which have the guarantee on them ("if your child wears them out before he outgrows them, we will replace them") so I'm hoping to collect - wish me luck, it could get interesting! I'm not expecting it to work, but it may be worth a try.
I need new bras, new vacuum cleaner, new glasses... the list goes on. And it is supposed to be a school day for difficult child 3, so I'll have to bring some work with us and hope he gets some done.

Enjoy your Sunday.

:bloodshot: I'm a little bleary-eyed this morning. It's unusual that I don't sleep well and I didn't last night. I have a lot going on at church this morning, and today in general, so I am pouring the coffee in :coffee:

Linda, sounds like a wonderful famiy day yesterday :autumn:. Enjoy your day of rest.

Marg, sounds like you have a busy day planned tomorrow! On huge errand days like that, I either leave difficult child home or pack the nintendo ds :hypnosis:!!!!

Wishing everyone a great Sunday!

Roll With It
Good morning to all. I have a quiet day planned. I have to organize all my notes and reports on the neck thing. That is mostly it, besides cleaning out the fridge a bit.

Jess has to do her laundry too. You can tell kt that she has "company" with the same chore!

Marg, glad to see you are checking in with-your doctor and shopping. Have fun shopping!

Hugs to all,

Susie

Going Green
Morning all. Not a thing planned here for the day. I ws going to do some grocery shopping but there was a small side effect from my colonoscopy yesterday (see the WAtercooler) so I think I'm just going to take it easy today.

Hope everyone has a peaceful day!

Linda, I love the idea of doing a watercolor while everyone sleeps. Except that I wish you would get some sleep! I'm glad you're having kt do laundry.
Marg, wow, quite a story about the chain ltrs! Funny about the jeans.
Sharon, I hope you don't remain bleary eyed all day. You will surely sleep tonight!
Susie, organizing is always a good thing! (Especially the fridge. Eow.)
I'm going to an outdoor art festival today. I haven't done that in a long time and this is supposed to be a quality show. difficult child has Sylvan so we will drop him off and then attend the show while he's there. Yay!
A sunny, peaceful Sunday to all.

Good morning all,

I am replacing our screens with windows today, and, subsequently cleaning windows too I guess. I've pulled out the Halloweenie decorations :jack: :frankenstein: :ghost: :ghost: and will try to get them up today. Since chore day was spent with difficult child down on LI, today I will catch up on laundry and housework .

We still need to cover our pool  - we're very late in doing so this year, with the construction and difficult child and my mom's visit - hopefully we'll get the pillows in and get that cover on it today! First I have to get all the leaves and pine needles out (what a pita) AGAIN :slap:.

So, everyone enjoy your. Linda & Sharon, I wish a restful night tonight. Marg, good luck at your doctors', Terry enjoy the arts festival (sounds great), Susie I actually love cleaning out the fridge! Put on some loud music and go to town!

See ya~
