:woohoo: HAPPY FREE CHOICE FRIDAY!!!!!:woohoo:

Geeze Linda, don't break anything with all that dancing! Enjoy your weekend :jumphappy:.

Ok, ok, I'm just as excited as Linda is about the weekend, even without the respite (what's respite :crazy2:?) I have my every-six-weeks pampering this morning - my hair appointment. go to a great Aveda Salon and they pamper the heck out of you :hairy:. I have to talk to my stylist about some extra highlights because I've noticed the grey making a bigger stand!!!!!

I'll be doing easy child's hair this afternoon. She will be finished exams today at 1. She's going to come home and shampoo and dry and then I'll flat iron it when I get home with difficult child at 3. This is our usual Saturday morning routine, but she is going bike riding with friends early in the morning and then boyfriend will be here around noon.

difficult child has no plans other than his best gal pal coming home with us from school and hanging out until 6. Yesterday he told me as we were all getting ready to go out the door to school that his shoes were getting tight. I told him we would go out this weekend and get a couple pair. easy child piped in and said she wanted to take him so they could get some cool shoes :irock:. He's into that! They'll go out after church on Sunday.

So, those are my only committments. I would really like to go and see the Daniel Dey-Lewis film. I think he's fantastic :talkhand:(that's not me talking to the hand, that's me fanning myselft because I was getting a little flushed!!!!!!!!!!!!). I might do that while the kids are shoe shopping on Sunday.

Have a fabulous day everyone - find what makes you smile and run with it!

Linda-I' can understand your excitement!!:happyguy:Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad it's Friday! The kids have early dismissal so we can work on grades as it is the end of the semester. It's been a long week and yesterday it was so cold we had indoor recesses-yuck! by the way, Marg-yesterday you were asking about the temps. It was minus 24 degrees F. Today we are expected to get to 22 above zero-practically a heat wave!:beach_ball: After work I plan on a workout and tonight husband and I are going to see a movie!

Enjoy your Free choice Friday-mine is one with no meltdowns!!!!:flowers:Hi if you snuck in!:peaceout:

G'day,everyone.

Linda, enjoy your respite. I know it helps you recharge your batteries.

Sharon/LDM, I could sure use some pampering. As for ironing the hair - mine already looks like it's been ironed. Totally straight and very fine, it's not hair I can do much with. I'd love to dye it again, but I think I need to avoid as much chemical exposure as possible at the moment.

Sharon/Wiped, I am appalled at those temperatures! We had a freezer at work that was -30C. We had a lot of strict safety rules to follow, before we were allowed to go near it. Enjoy that movie!

husband & difficult child 3 came with me this morning for my liver ultrasound. husband shopped afterwards for our Asian cooking supplies while we waited for the report. After that we went to the big shopping centre, had a coffee together, sent difficult child 3 off to buy himself some pizza while we snuck into his favourite store and bought his birthday present - a roll-up jigsaw puzzle mat.
Then it was time to see my new GP with the ultrasound report (which I'd already read).
Good news - no blockages, no tumours. Bad news - we don't know what it could be, so it's off to the liver specialist.
Got home - to the first symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), so it was ring the doctor, check what to do with her (and let her know) then get the pathology organised and start antibiotics. Luckily we were prepared, with prescription filled and pathology order form already filled out. Also rang the urologist.
So now in a week or so, I'm seeing my kidney specialist then the next day seeing the liver specialist. In between, easy child 2/difficult child 2 is having a gastroscopy (same liver specialist).
The antibiotics seem to be sedating me, I'm not sure if I'm beginning to itch (early allergy signs?) and tomorrow is Australia Day, our big public holiday, it's like 4th July for the US. And it's also difficult child 3's birthday. Luckily we planned ahead and got him to help choose a cake from the shop. husband had offered to bake one (he is a good cook) but we just figured, why add to the workload? Who knows what to expect?

I am so over seeing doctors, but I'm stuck with them for a while now, until we sort this lot out.

easy child & BF1 are moving tomorrow, they were also hoping to stay overnight tomorrow night so they could have a quick visit for difficult child 3's birthday. I'm not sure if they will have time - here's hoping the moving van gets packed up and off nice and early tomorrow, so we can have a slightly longer visit. A late departure from Canberra will mean too big a rush for the kids to visit on their way through. As it is, we might only see easy child, not BF1.

Here's hoping we get some sleep tonight - I think we will all need it!

Good Morning Everyone:coffee:,

Linda, ENJOY RESPITE!!!:happyguy:!!! (Do you think respite would like a couple of extra difficult children and one easy child??? I can ship them out ASAP!!!

Sharon, ENJOY your day of pampering!!! It sounds like fun!!! I'de love to join you...:nails:

Sharon, I hope your "heatwave" continues...:beach: Enjoy the movie!!!

Marg, Be careful if you're starting to itch - in my humble opinion, it definitely could be the start of an allergic reaction. HAPPY birthday to difficult child 3!!!:hapBday:!!!

I definitely need more coffee this morning!!! easy child came downstairs in a HORRIBLE mood!!! Unfortunately, her mood had a negative impact on husband too...However, the bright side of all of this is EVERYONE HAS LEFT THE HOUSE!!! It's finally PEACEFUL - just me, my favorite sanity saver:cool_dog: and difficult child cat.:pet:...

I'm hoping for a calm and peaceful weekend...

As always I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today...:flower: WFEN

Good Morning All,

Linda, enjoy the respite.:happyguy:

Sharon - pampering? Whats that? lol. Enjoy it and relax.:bath:

Sharon/wiped - glad to see it is warming up a little. We finally are too.

Marg - Hope difficult child#3 has a good birthday and you all have a good Holiday.:hapBday:

My day is going to be doing laundry, now that the water softener is fixed. The well water is soooo rusty without it that rust stains get on the cloths when the softener is not working.:grrr:

On the bright side tonight is the special Meet & Greet for just cub scouts for the Monster Jam. The boys(and families) get to go and meet the drivers of the monster trucks. We did it last year and the kids had a ball. This year they changed it a little, the show isn't until tomorrow, but they thought it was too much on the little guys to have the meet & greet before(like last year), so they moved it to tonight. All the kids are excited to go.:woohoo:

Have a good day all.

Duckie has the day off today, so I planned something a little special. We'll be heading into town to go to Build-A-Bear workshop. She's been wanting to go since before Christmas. Wish us luck!:salute:

Good morning all!

I started my juice fast last night and went to bed at 9:30 - I actually got 7 hours of uninterrupted sleep last night and I feel pretty darned good this morning! I am continuing my juice fast (along with a hard boiled egg mid-afternoon for protein) *hopefully* over this weekend, ending on Sunday evening. So far so good.

Pray that difficult child gets a stinkin job today please!!

Have an excellent Friday and weekend~
