Wee difficult child (who is all of 7) wouldn't eat supper last night, and I told him I was very tired and not going to fix something later. When he finally announced he was hungry at 8pm, I told him to do something about it. I wasn't fixing him anything, tho he was welcome to fend for himself (in a housefull of hypoglycemics, we don't so much adhere to the "three squares" rule)
After much whining about not knowing how to operate the oven, he settled on a bowl of cheerios, which he happily fixed himself, ate, cleaned up, and went to bed.
I called it success. Never even crossed my mind that I might be mean. lol
