I want to celebrate this wonderful news with all of you! It has been a very tough year for us financially, and this news is amazing!! Tyler has worked very hard in high school. He has never gotten less than an A in any of his classes so far. He has even taken a couple of college classes while still in high school. He is determined to go to the university located here in our town (a good 4 year state university), and we are fine with that. This upcoming year will be the first year that the children of faculty and staff will get free tuition. They still have to pay fees, but they get free tuition. Hubby works for the university and we got the letter that our son will get free tuition. To make things even better, he just got a scholarship that will cover his fees for his first year. It is renewable, which means that if he keeps his grades up in college then he has a good chance of having the scholarship for his next year. Tyler has such a great attitude about it. He doesn't want to fully count on the scholarship because the money hasn't been deposited into his account yet. Until he sees the money, he won't count on it. He will work and save his money to help with his fees and books just in case something happens. He is such an amazing young man. Thank you for celebrating this with me!!!!! :soapbox:
