Anybody enjoy James Blunt?

I love his music and I think he's cute as a button. I think it's got a lot to do with the british accent which is my fav accent lol.

My S/O just bought me and my cousin concert tickets for the day of my birthday, it's at a casino a couple of hours away. I can't wait! I do feel a bit bad that I'll be spending my birthday away from S/O and easy child, but not bad enough to consider even for a second to not go ;).

Just wanted to share :) It's been a long week for various reasons and this just tickled me :)

I'm happy for you. Guess I'm out of the current musical loop. I've known a lot of guys named James and I've learned a heck of alot more than I want to know about a variet of Blunts...but no James Blunt. LOL I bet it will be a birthday to remember. Here Here to your new husband to be. DDD

DDD, you've probably heard some of his hits if you at all listen to radio. He sings You're Beautiful and another one Goodbye My Lover, some of his hits that made him big although he's got newer stuff out. I remember watching him surprise Oprah to sing You're Beautiful and had goose bumps and felt actual celebrity envy (totally uncharacteristic of me) and was thinking how it would be to hear him live. So on my birthday I'm going to pretend I'm being serenaded personally lol. I'm not a concert person, very few I'd see even in town let alone gone out of town for. He's one of the few that makes this worth the trip. We've got 8th row seats. Yay! He's playing a few Canadian venues and apparently when the tickets went on sale at noon, the Montreal one was sold out in 8 minutes. I actually booked the tickets, not my S/O, and I called at 11a.m., an hour before they opened for sale. Gave a code from a friends Casino rewards program to let me buy early. Sounds like its a good thing I called early like that!

You're right as rain. I do know the song "You're Beautiful" and even sing along in the car. He has a great voice and if he has good vision I'm sure he'll stare at you during the performance. Hugs. DDD

You know Crowded House? Good stuff, but we're not accustomed to Aussie or Kiwi bands getting known in the US.

Love James Blunt's stuff but I haven't got any of his albums. I did enjoy seeing him on Oprah.

I think the music scene in Canada is quite different from that in the US. Lots of Australian and NZ bands have made there way over here over the years. I love Crowded House...they became very popular here in the late 80s, as did Split Enz before them in the late 70s/early 80s.
