Commentaries on "Parenthood"

I've only seen one episode of the show Parenthood, and I wasn't sure if I liked it. But, a member on a local listserv just posted this link : http://www.nbc.com/parenthood/the-experts-speak/

I've been watching this show since it started, and before the character's diagnosis I was already sitting there going "That's my kid! Are they going to have some magical sitcom-y transformation that is no help to me, or will there be something I can learn from this?"

I tried to watch this show because of the Aspie storyline but I despise the one from Gilwhore Girls so much that I can't watch it.
