Coping with addicted, homeless adult daughter

"Sometimes we don't want to heal because it's the last link to what we lost."
This quote stabbed me in the heart, too, Beta. But I don't think it's true. You love Josh and will always love Josh. Suffering is not the only thing that links you. Josh is embedded in every cell in your body. It will always be this way. Our children are part of our soul, too.

How is your husband? How are you?

Copa,
My husband is doing okay. This form of cancer is very treatable, according to his doctor. He seems to be responding to the chemo as his lab numbers have been encouraging. The chemo is hard on him though. I'm doing okay. I know that God is walking through this with us and will redeem this in our lives for good. Our youngest son will be coming home from overseas on May 19 and will stay for three weeks. Really looking forward to seeing him. Thanks so much for asking.

How are you doing today?
