difficult child 1 left today.

He called about 7 this morning to say goodbye. He's heading to the Black Sea for a training opp for a few months. He's excited and I'm so happy he's finally being sent somewhere, since that's what he wants.

He won't have phone service, so I'll miss him. But I'm a proud mama today!

Wow...Way To Go difficult child 1! Sounds exciting and mysterious...lol. Glad he is getting to do what he wants to do. They all want to be where the excitement is even though as mom's we want them sitting in some bunker. Jamie hated being stuck up at Quantico but I was perfectly happy with him babysitting Generals. LOL.

I want him to be safe, but I want him to be happy with what he's doing, too. If that's front lines, I support that.

I was just so pleased he called. I talked to him Tuesday thinking that would be it. I didn't want to bother him last night. It was a pleasant suprise, but then again, he always was slightly sentimental (tho he'd never admit it).
