I took difficult child on her first interview today. It is for full time, combination receptionist and exam room attendant. It pays $9 an hour and they provide health coverage and sick days/personal days/vacation. They also have a 401K plan she can get into. They asked her to come back in the afternoon so the receptionist can show her that end of the job. She went back and they said they would check her references and call her later.

She is so excited and I am thrilled at the prospect of getting her off our health coverage and having her independent. She still has the working interview next Tuesday but she loves this job because she will actually get to work with the animals.

difficult child is making great progress, she seems to be moving closer and closer to solid sobriety every day.

So great to hear. Crossing fingers for her. This would be a huge self-esteem boost for her.
