It really sounds like Dude is making progress. You have MUCH to be proud of. It isn't easy to find junk electronics and fix them up. I have known many people who make livings doing that.

I am glad Dude is "getting" the big picture, such as ditching the stereo because it isn't worth losing his home for. That is a HUGE step, not a baby step.
