I came up with an idea for a non-fiction book but I'm wondering if there's already something like it out there. Does anyone know if there is a way to find out? (I've had way too much time on my hands the last couple of days)

I'd just do a google on the topic and see what comes up.

Well that's the thing. I'm not sure how to classify it. It would be a book about people that have played a big but anonymous part in historic events. (Example: The military men who were JFK's pallbearers.)
