Another thread got me thinking about something that happened when I first got my smartphone.
I was sending a text message to one of my online students about a quiz. I meant to say:
"Hi, XXX, this is Ms. BXXXXX. I was just checking to see if . . ."
I hit send just as I realized that the autocorrect had change the message to:
"Hi, XXX, this is Ms. Bartender. I was just checking to see if . . . "
I was mortified and quickly sent a follow up text explaining that the autocorrect on my phone had changed my name to Ms. Bartender. Luckily, the student thought it was funny.
Anyone else have any autocorrect stories?
