Good Morning Friends,

Another weekend has come and gone so fast. Back to work today. The roofer is suppose to be coming today. While I'll be happy to have a new roof I would have appreciated more notice. He called yesterday around 5:30 to say today would be the day. We hadn't gotten the building permit yet because he had said October and we really are quite broke until then. Now we will have to be running around a lot this morning, in addition to working, of course, grrrr!

After work today easy child has a therapist appointment and difficult child is suppose to have a therapy appointment for his cpap mask but I think we will cancel that-just too much going on and we haven't been doing what we need to on the cpap end of thins.

Hoping to get to the health club tonight!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

Hope you all have a wonderful meltdown-free Monday.

I am trying to lose some weight since one of my sons is getting married on 1 November (they've been going together for almost 6 years, so it's about time!), and I am grossly overweight. The last two days (Jewish New Year) didn't help -- we ate so much we almost burst!). So it is now into diet mode, very severely. I'm doing Herbalife for the next two months, come what may.

Had a new grandson last week -- he is gorgeous. I now have 21 grandchildren and I can't quite believe it. What a dynasty we have become! My husband still looks really good, but when I see myself in the mirror I wonder who that old lady is!! I think I'm going to kill him one of these days when he looks so young, it's sickening!!

Have a good Monday, all of you.

Love, Esther

Good morning all.
WO- don't you hate when someone throws a monkey wrench into your day. Good luck with the roof.

Rabbitt, I'm thinking about cleaning too. Not sure I'll get to it but I will do laundry. It's Monday so it's ingrained.

Esther, congratulations on grandchild 21. It is quite the family tree. Happy New Year a few days late. Another wedding is good. Best wishes to the young couple.

I don't know why men age so differently than women. My husband looks young. If his really red hair hadn't turned more whilte, you would hardly know what age he was. Meanwhile, I have bags, sags and widening seat to contend with. Oh well. I have my health.

Hope you all have a productive Monday. Mine started early because one of the younger pups was complaining in his crate so I had to get up to let him out. It was waaaaaaaaay too early. I may have to call it a really early night.

Good morning all,

Sharon, I'm glad that you're putting the stop on some of your busy day ~ you can only do so much in a 24 hr period.

Rabbit, I love a clean home - have fun.

Esther, another grand baby - you're catching up to my dad (mom) who have 29 grands & 3 great grands. Congrats on the new baby & the upcoming wedding.

Fran, take a nap & run that pup til he drops from exhaustion tonight.

I got back from a long weekend, fell asleep around 6:30 & just woke up. My treatment team mtg for kt has been canceled. The flu has been taking the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) down in a big way. kt doesn't appear to have the flu but has a double inner ear infection, upper respiratory infection & a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). Ick ~ not sure I'm ready to visit anytime soon.

Have a good day, friends.

G'day, folks.

Sharon/WO, tradesmen seem to be a law unto themselves. I hope the job gets done alright with as little disruption as possible.

Rabbit, flash that duster!

Esther, all the best with the weight loss. Why not drop in on Healthful Living?

Fran, puppies are like babies. All demanding, no responsibility. For us it's the budgies. They are quiet in the mornings tankfully, until they hear us up and about. Then they start fussing noisily, asking to be let out of their cage. And for the first half hour or so, they seem to play tag across my bedroom. Back and forth, screeching each time.

Linda, I hope kt feels better soon and manages to continue to avoid flu. You keep well too!

We had a really busy day today and it's only going to get worse this week. We're definitely into wedding countdown mode. easy child 2/difficult child 2 has tomorrow off work (this is her last week for five weeks) and has arranged for her 4th bridesmaid to come to our place so we can begin sewing the dress. My friend who has been helping so much (and is wonderful with her sewing advice and assistance) is probably unavailable because her first grandchild was born today. And this dress will be tricky, bridesmaid had her baby only 8 days ago. But we've run out of time. Got to sew the dress NOW.

I also have to sew my dress - the straps are too long plus I have to make my stole. easy child 2/difficult child 2 also invited me to her hens night, it's a costume affair and I have to make a wizard's hat. I met up with easy child 2/difficult child 2 this afternoon on the way home from the Study Day. I was in the fabric shop when my mobile phone rang - a reporter who is possibly gonig to do a story on how we have raised difficult child 3 with very few services and how this is sadly common. I had to cut the call short after half an hour because my phone battery was dying. In that time I bought the stuff I needed in the fabric store, gave difficult child 3 some money for a very late lunch, loaded the car up with purchases and was ready to drive off to drop easy child 2/difficult child 2 back at her place.

But today was still quieter than what's coming up. Today was a study day at school for difficult child 3. I also had to see my specialist but cancelled. Reschedule for tomorrow. I'm cancelling the appointment tomorrow too though. I need to be here for the Sewing Circle. difficult child 3 must do Maths study because he has an exam coming up. I talked to his Maths teacher today who said I can give him the exam early. Suggested Wednesday. It's the only day I will be free this week to supervise the exam. Thursday is usually my cleaning day but it's also ANOTHER study day for difficult child 3 (Maths this time) which makes two in one week, when they're usually one a month, max. Friday I get my hair done (coloured, cut etc) so I don't look to ghastly for the wedding. Saturday - hens night. Sunday - art exhibition (and I need to get osme brochures to them, see if they will have them on display). Monday - that's when I'm supposed to give difficult child 3 his Maths exam but it's also when I'm supposed to present some writing awards to local children. Tuesday - we meet with the marriage celebrant. Wednesday - I haven't thought that far ahead but I know something is on. Thursday - difficult child 3 is supposed to be back at school for another Study Day but it's getting too close - Friday is the wedding. Flowers to drop off, bouquets to collect, makeup, clothes etc to collect and get out to the district where the wedding is happening. I want everything to be ready so we can relax and enjoy it.

I'm heading for bed now, hopefully to sleep. Tomorrow is a busy day. My cleaner rang today (while I was out) and left a message - he could come to clean tomorrow or Friday. He said he would be out, I could call tomorrow night to let him know if I want him to come tomorrow (huh?). The guy is a flake. Luckily I caught up with him just as he was boarding the boat out of town and cancelled for the week. I'm going to have to cancel for next week, too. There's just too much happening!

Enjoy your Monday.

Oh yes - and at today's Study Day, a girl who has previously been passing notes to difficult child 3 saying, "I have a crush on you," gave him a BIG hug goodbye. She's sending very loud signals. And he hasn't a clue what to do about it. I think she's in for a disappointment, he can't even hold a conversation with someone unless it's about what HE wants to talk about.
But I do agree with her, he IS cute!

Good morning all!

I am home from work sick today. I would have went in and stuck it through the day, but there are a few folks at work who would really complain if they heard all my sniffling and sneezing, so I stayed home. I think I will try and tackle a few projects while I'm home, if I'm up to it. Or maybe I will stay in my jammies and watch old movies instead. Haven't decided yet.

difficult child is home with me today - I think she's applying for more jobs, as hers doesn't give her enough hours or money.

Have a good one all!

Marge, you are on the treadmill that weddings seem to bring. Hope you are able to rest up in between all the hustle and bustle. Enjoy the process.

Cute to know difficult child has an admirer. I'm sure your difficult child is adorable. My difficult child is dating a young lady. It's lovely and he is a bit over the moon.
Hope things go according to plan for your daughter's wedding.
