Good Morning All!

I'm up way too early and hoping to get back to sleep soon. I woke up about two hours ago with something like a pinched nerve or muscle thing (it's too early to come up with a better way to describe it). I've iced it but that didn't do much and what I took for pain isn't helping either. I'm
thinking I'll probably end up skipping boot camp unless I have a miraculous recovery and get a little bit more sleep.

Wishing all a peaceful Monday-remember to tell your difficult children NO MELTDOWNS
!:)

G'day, Sharon. Sorry you're in pain. I suggest skipping boot camp is a wise move. If cold doesn't work, how about heat? Get a small hand towel, fold it, wet it, wring it out, put it in a plastic bag and microwave it for a minute or so until it's hot. Instant heat pack. Just microwave it again as it cools if you want more heat.

difficult child 3 had his first day at tech college today. He seems to have coped well. Didn't talk to any other students, he says, but he did talk to his lecturers and says he was able to stay focussed as well as he ever can. Today was a half day, tomorrow is a full day. He'll have a 90 minute break between classes which will hopefully give him the opportunity to talk to classmates. I'm concerned that he is already falling behind in schoolwork (he is still enrolled in school as well as college) but he has to live with that. If he completes the college course, he won't need his high school graduation. We'll know after the first term, I think, if this is going to work. We'll certainly know by then if it will not work, but so far it's looking good.

I'm still sore as blazes after Saturday's galloping around the heart of Sydney. I walked a lot further than is good for me and my body has been screaming at me ever since. I'm beginning to wonder if I did some damage to my hips - triggered off the bursitis again. Saw the pain specialist today and he's going to try to track down my old specialist (now retired) to pick his brains on my behalf.

Talked to easy child this afternoon - our grandbaby is growing out of all recognition but easy child seems to be coping better than I had thought. There are a couple of worries though, about baby's hips. For those of you who are on my FB page, see if you can see the lovely pics of the baby - easy child posted some more yesterday.

Good No Meltdown Monday Morning!

Sharon, those pinched nerves are nothing to play with - I had several and it was months before I was back to "normal". Be careful - hope you feel better soon.

Marg, glad difficult child made it through his first day without incidence! He'll find the flow.....

Going to be a busy day at work and I'm two minutes past shower time so I gotta run!!!

Have a great Monday all!

Good morning!

Sharon, I sure hope your pain recedes so you can get back to your normal routine.

Marg, I'm so happy for difficult child and I'll head over to your page on fb to see those pics! Hope your body feels better. I think it's so cool that your current dr is going to do that for you!

Sharon, enjoy your day-no rushing allowed!

I will drive myself to the chiro and pt today with a nap in between. It's my first time behind the wheel in four weeks! I can't wait but I can't honestly say I'm ready. I still feel loopy sometimes from the medications. difficult child and E made me promise to check in with them, lol.

Well everyone have a great day!

HI GUYS! If this was not so sad I would laugh... I woke this morning with hives all over. I am sure it is stress that the school week is ahead of me. I will be totally fine and it is already fading as I am breathing and thinking rationally about things.

I am praying for my son big time today. He really needs a good day at school. He needs a good week there. But there really is no reward for him to do better, if he makes a mistake, follows the plan to calm and get into his "green zone" then eventually he knows someone will come and say he is still going to be punished for what happened so he has said several times he gives up.

That they derailed the plan this way makes me crazy but I really have to work on letting it go so this will be my goal for the day... to accept what I can not change. Their minds are rigid and I am not the hero that can fix that so I just have to move on.

Hope all of your aches and pains really settle down today guys! You dont need one more thing to challenge you. marg, really kind of exciting to read about your kiddo in college. I hope you keep letting us know how things are going.

Have a good everyone... It is a no mommy-meltdown day if I can help it... !!!!! 8o)

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon (WO), Hope you get a bit more sleep and feel better soon!!

Marg, Keeping my fingers all goes well for difficult child 3 at tech college. Hope you feel better soon too!!

Sharon (LDM), Hope your busy day turns out to be a good one...

hearts and roses, Can't believe it's already been four weeks since you've been behind the wheel - Time flies... Stay safe behind that wheel. It must be a wonderful feeling to gain this much of your independence back!!

Buddy, Sorry about the hives!! Sending lots of positive vibes/good thoughts that your difficult child has a good day in spite of everything...

husband and I had a relaxing weekend in spite of the Patriot's losing last night. easy child/difficult child 3 got the job! She has orientation after school today. I got a very long email from difficult child 2 this morning. He is so funny, so quirky, his personality shines through his emails, and made me smile even though easy child/difficult child 3 had me so angry that I've already cleaned the bathroom. When I'm angry, I clean, a coping mechanism from way back... So something good came out of all of this, lol...

Having one more cup of coffee, then it's off to the exercise room... Hope everyone's Monday goes well or at least better then expected... SFR
