Good Morning Monday

G'day, folks.

We had a bit of sunshine out today. Sydnry has been a bit waterlogged over the past few days. It's good news for the dams and the gardens, but there has been some storm damage in places. Thankfully we weren't affected by floods - the road did flood, but not at a time when we needed to go that way. Despite the rain, it's still been quite warm. And very, very humid.

I took mother in law to the local doctor this morning, then after she got home, a lot of the disability aids ordered for her arrived. She was not happy to have her "house turned upside down" by it all but it's all needed, plus it's a compromise so there's no need to instal rails into the walls, etc.

After that, I grabbed a bit of early lunch then had to head out "to the mainland" to see a couple of my specialists. I ran some other errands while i was out, only got back home about half an hour ago. I've started dinner preparations, I promised mother in law I'd make prawn satay for dinner tonight. It's quick, easy and very tasty. I'll need to fix something else for difficult child 3, he won't eat prawns.

We'll be heading down to mother in law's to cook dinner in about half an hour. I'm just about to go and chop some vegetables. I still need to unpack some shopping, but I only did a little. It is much easier now there are so few of us in the house.

Tomorrow will be warmer and sunnier. Physiotherapy in the morning, then difficult child 3's drama class (outside again) in the evening. I'll probably need to drop in on difficult child 1 tomorrow. I would have done it today but I was running so late - doctors never seem to be on time!

Enjoy your Monday.

Good Morning Friends,

Marg-Your day sounds exhausting! Doesn't sound like you'll have time to hit the beach tomorrow even though it will be warmer and sunnier.

Feeling very tired this morning. We did a quick trip to Michigan this weekend to see father in law and it was a nice weekend (he is looking very frail though) but those quick weekends wear me out-wish I could sleep another day!

We have a winter storm watch for tonight into tomorrow night we could get 4-9 inches of snow. With our luck we will have school and then be driving home in 9 inches of snow tomorrow! Scary!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

Good morning all,

Marg, another busy day ~ the prawns sound wonderful.

Sharon (with-o), we have the start of your storm here. It's already ugly in rural areas & the TC are being hit now thru Tuesday. I've made those short trips to my dad's - it's exhausting.

Tweedleland is up & moving; kt's ready for school, I'm sipping first cuppa HMJ. Nothing new or exciting other than the "snow event" occurring yet again. This winter is proving to be very very long.

therapist this morning - pharmacy run then home to start taxes. Of course the normal laundry & bills.

Have a good Monday - keep it calm & find a reason to laugh.

Good Morning Friends on No Meltdown Monday!

Marg, as long as you are doing satay, do satay chicken for difficult child 3 - that's a fav of mine and easy child!

Sharon, glad you had a nice visit with family - but I understand that it often makes you feel you haven't had the R&R you need on the weekend!

Linda, your Monday sounds like mine. Housestuff!

Two hour delay for difficult child this morning - all the other school systems around here are closed - I'm glad he's going because we won't have so much time to make up!

easy child has invited me for lunch at her apartment today! Since difficult child doesn't go in until 10, I'll come home and work like a tornado to get stuff down around here. I'll probably head over around 12:30. Nice kid that daughter of mine.....

Have a great Monday everyone! Don't let the difficult children forget it's No Meltdown Monday!
