Good morning - Thursday

A very good Thursday morning friends & fellow warrior parents!

Busy week so far, it continues today with a therapist appointment with kt. Her in home therapist is to be a part of the session with adoption/PTSD specialist & then the 3 ladies of the group are heading out to lunch. kt has been craving a Caesar's salad from Applebee's. Hmmmmm......

I've had a sleepless night, but I'm not in Seattle. Oh well - used to live there. :sad-very:

On to bigger & better things this morning; like finding who the heck took my garbage cans (I suspect the garbage company / I may have forgotten to pay the bill). In the meantime, I prefer to be all dramatic about this situation. Takes the edge off other things. :angrygirl::cheer_up::hairy:

Have a good day; hope your difficult children are cooperative & life goes well for you today.

Good morning Linda, Rabbit and all to follow.

Linda, go ahead and freak out about the garbage cans. Sometimes it's the small things that send you right over the edge and if the drama helps you to take the edge off then feel free.

Rabbit, hope the inspection goes well.

I have a busy day queued up. TONS of things to get done at work. I actually went into my meeting calendar yesterday and booked an entire day of meetings with...myself! Booked a boardroom and everything.

This way, no one can bother me, pull me into unplanned meetings etc., because I'm already "in meetings all day". I will barricade myself in the boardroom all day, and blast away at my work. I chose the one close to both the kitchen and washroom, but on the opposite side of the floor from where my team sits. Fingers crossed that it works.

After work, I have a meeting at difficult child's Residential Treatment Center (RTC). Program review, behaviour check, update, all that stuff. Honestly, I'm not in the mood and would prefer to skip it tonight. The daily reports indicate that difficult child has been behaving himself this week, and I expect that there won't be a lot of issues to report. However, husband gets nervous if I'm not there, so I'll be there.

Hope everyone has the best day possible!

Good Morning,

Linda-You must be absolutely exhausted. I hope you are able to get some sleep today. It's o.k. to be dramatic about the garbage cans!

Rabbit-I hope the inspection goes well!

Trinity-What a smart idea to book yourself into meetings so you won't be disturbed!! It sounds like a long day for you today!

This morning I'm taking difficult child to an appointment. to get the results of his sleep study. It will be interesting to finally know if it's contributing at all to his behaviors. Then I'm dropping him off at school and heading to work. I'm getting a new student today so should be an interesting day.

After work we have an in-home and then head straight to wrestling practice with difficult child. So sometime around 7:30 we should get dinner.

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:peaceful:

G'day, folk.

Linda, sorry to hear the garbage bins have gone AWOL. You need to take out an ad - "last seen standing on the edge of te lawn. Distinguishing features - solid body, bad halitosis."

Rabbit, I hope the inspection goes smoothly.

Trinity, booking yourself for all-day meetings is sneaky but effective. Just don't let the secrfet out too readily and don't do it too often or it will lose effectiveness. I hope you get through your workload.

Sharon/WO, I hope you get some useful answers from the sleep study.

We had a cool day, I took things easy. difficult child 3 has been working hard to fix his ancient laptop computer. Tomorrow we go shopping with mother in law, we both need to re-stock after the big family visit over Christmas & New Year.

Tomorrow is also cool and cloudy, it should begin to warm up again over the weekend. Meanwhile, we're getting other stuff done.

I wish I could shake this cold, I'm fed up with it. husband is also still fighting the last stages of it, where your sinuses etc are clogged with the consistency of glue.

I've got a lot to do tomorrow, including passing on mail to the kids who don't live here anymore. It's often quicker to hand-deliver it than to forward it, if we're likely to see them in the next day or so.

Enjoy your Thursday.

GOOD MORNING!

Timer - I hope you get your garbage can back soon. I would be throwing a little hissy fit if ours disappeared - I need it! I should have two or three some weeks but am allowed only one. Our neighbors are gone a lot and I have been so tempted to ask if I could use theirs once in a while - but I don't.

Rabbit - Good luck with the inspection.

Trinity - I hope you get lots of work done in your "meetings" today. Sometimes I also get to the point that I don't care what is coming at me, it is being put on hold so I can catch up.

Wiped Out - You do have a busy on the run day. Good luck with the sleep study results.

Marg - I hope you and husband can shake off that icky cold soon.

Little Dude's Mom - I hope you made up lost time and got back on track this morning.

I have a meeting with my supervisor today to try to figure out the best way to submit a form that neither of us is familiar with. I recieved a contract manual on my desk the other day so hopefully I can get those done today with my supervisor's input.

I was suppose to go to a meeting 2 hours down the road tomorrow but we are in a winter storm watch for tonight through tommorrow afternoon so it looks like I may not only be going to the meeting, but also not going into work? I will go in on Saturday if I can get away from home.

I have to remember trumpet lesson tonight - We are going to give notice of quitting and give the teacher his Christmas gift.

7:00, time to start the water for hot chocolate and get difficult child going and let puppy out. I am so looking forward to possibly sleeping in tomorrow a.m. if school is delayed or closed. Oh, I found out why the SD has better common sense when delaying or closing school. One of the decision makers had a son who died in a car accident on his way to a skiing trip I don't know how many years ago on a snowy day that the school should have cancelled that activity and school. He has a very healthy outlook on the dangers of winter driving. We have so many teenagers who drive to school and I don't think some SD's think of them when that decision has to be made - they only look to see if the busses can run or not.

Everyone have a great day - find a way to make your difficult child laugh!

Good morning!!:)

My older child's IEP will be done next week and my younger child begins getting evaluated tomorrow. DS6 is probably ADD, but we'll see.:)

Timer - Have a good time with kt.:) I hope the meeting goes well.

Rabbit - The apartment inspections sound like a pain.

Trinity - Good luck getting work done. A quiet boardroom sounds like just the ticket to me.:)

WO - I hope the Sleep Study tells you something that will help.

Marg - I hate those stubborn colds. I've been taking echinacea and vitamin C for one that has settled on me. Here's hoping we both shake it.

LDM - Have fun weight training.

Adrianne - Crossing my fingers that you get to sleep in a bit.
