difficult child (dd15) has done 27 days no running away and substance abuse. We had a rough week last week but she appears to have cycled down some . I am sharing my plans for the week:
    1. I will not react to threats of her running away.

    2. I will not not take on guilt/blame.

    3. I will not give into badgering (yesterday it was over 6 hours for a puppy and piercings)

    4. If you does not comply, she does not go over to bestf.

    5. She is not allowed on computer unsupervised or anyplace that is not properly supervised.

. I will praise her at least 5 times a day.
    2. I will place as much responsibility as I can on her.
. I will focus on stabilization (sleep, medications, food)
4.Support. reinforce and encourage healthy choices and outlets (friends, volleyball, work at Humane Society, attend AA, therapy
5, I will respond postively and respectly even when challenged and badgered.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Good for you!!! I always seem to get roped into my difficult children drama. Raising these kids is just utterly exhausting. Good luck, I hope the plan works. :)
