Happy Thursday!

Today is like a Friday for me as I'm taking a comp day of tomorrow. After work husband, difficult child, and I are headed out to Michigan!! Should be a fun day at school, most are these days as I just love my class again this year.:teacher:

It will be a cold one today with a high temperature of only 38 degrees! I keep telling myself it really isn't that bad when I think of the approaching winter temps! Mostly I'm hoping it isn't too cold at the game on Saturday!!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day:thanksgiving2:

G'day for Thursday.

Sharon/WO, enjoy your trip to Michigan. I remember driving around in temperatures like that, when we were in New Zealand. It was a lovely trip. Extra nice to be in a warm car!

It's increasingly warm here in the run-up to Christmas. One day I'd like to experience a winter Christmas, but for me it will always be tropical fruit, relaxing on the beach with family and long holidays.

difficult child 3 is in the wind-up to te end of school year. Because he is doing one subject for final year, that one rolls over and has already started. All his other work, he's not supposed to start until the new school year in the end of January. But this school has already put up some of the work for him, to give him a head start. husband is taking off a bit of time, we might take a few days visiting easy child. Or we might just stay home and relax a bit, it's been a hectic year.

Today - a quiet day at home, although I had a lot of fiddly little business things to attend to. Getting back to my writing tasks also.

Tomorrow I have to see my eye specialist, a check-up over my retinal bleed a few months ago. difficult child 3 will have to drive me, I'm not allowed to drive for a few hours after the eye drops. There is a lovely cafe over the road, we went there last time for coffee and a sandwich. It was good for us both to just sit and have a quiet lunch together.

The weekend is going to be busy again, but not too bad. Just full, I guess.

Enjoy your Thursday.

Good Morning Sharon and all to follow!

Sharon, I understand that we will have about 5 or 6 days of nice weather (50's and 60's) before the cold comes - but it feels more like the holiday season when the days are crisp and the nights are cold! Have a great little Friday and a fun weekend! Don't forget your mittens!!!!

Work day for me and I anticipate being there all day today. Tonight is family pizza/movie night - but no pizza tonight. I told difficult child and easy child that we have to work on the weekly leftovers in the fridge - we have turkey spaghetti, chicken curry soup, and thai green curry beef! Plenty of choices and it's already paid for!!!

Hope your Thursday is a good one! :thanksgiving2:

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon (WO), Enjoy your LONG weekend:D!!! I'll think warm thoughts for you on Saturday...

Marg, I think it would be fun to spend Christmas eating tropical fruit by the ocean... I like just a bit of snow for atmosphere on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and then I've had enough for the year, lol... Glad you're going to get a few days to relax!!!

Sharon (LDM), I would be happy to send all of our snow your way, lol... Enjoy family buffet/movie night!!! Sounds like fun. What are you going to watch?

Today is a beautiful sunny day. The temps will be in the 50's:D. I'm having a really hard time not putting on my running shoes and heading outside... My foot is still swollen. I have a nagging feeling I'm going to have to have to see the ortho doctor after the first of the year.

I spent over an hour on the phone again yesterday. I thought difficult child 2's health insurance was finally straightened out but I was wrong:mad:. Anyway, the good news is that after another call this morning, it looks like I can start an appeals process to try to reclaim some money that we overpaid due to a keying error. I need to fortify myself with another cup of coffee before going putting myself through automated HE77...

The rest of today should be a good day. I'm planning on doing a bit of holiday shopping. Tonight husband and I are going out to dinner - It's date night:D. Unfortunately, difficult child 2 isn't very happy about this:mad:. He was slamming and banging things, muttering under his breath, etc., from the time he woke up until the time he left for school. He thinks it's totally unfair that he isn't invited:mad:. Hopefully, after we drop him off at the library, he'll be in a better mood. He can spend all evening researching monkeys on the internet.

Wishing everyone a good day... SFR

SFR, I will take your snow and Sharon's. easy child has a couple movies downloaded on her computer - we connect it to our tv. It's up for vote - either one she has downloaded or one from On Demand. I'm voting for "Babies"!

Have a fun date night!!

Sharon

Thanks! - I'm really looking forward to a relaxing, leisurely dinner... SFR

P.S. I hope I don't need too many boxes to ship all of our snow to you this year..., lol...
