:good_morning:

It's hard to believe it's time to get up. I would love another couple of hours of sleep. because I feel like this :bloodshot:

Long day ahead but should have a small break in the middle of it. This afternoon I have a substitute coming in because I have to take easy child to a dr's. appointment. I should have time before picking her up to go for a workout or to take a nap.

Then I get to drive to the west side again to pick her up and take her to her appointment. After that I have a therapist appointment. back on the east side. I'll run home grab a quick bite and head out to our last book club of the school year. Of course, that too is on the west side. The west side is about 1/2 hour from my house. I would skip book club but it was a good book and it's the last one.

Wishing everyone a calm, peaceful day!:flowers:

:coffee2:Morning....

I'm with you Sharon, I could use a little more mattress time! My day is not nearly as busy as your day. Hope you are getting a good deal on gasoline - that's a lot of driving. I have been trying to combine errands and plan ahead with the prices so high.

Suffering with a little "tension" headache this morning. I get this every year or so. The muscles in my neck tense up (basically a pinched nerve) then hit my head with a sharp pain every half a minute or so. I'm trying to get ahead of the pain so it will go away.

I'll be at the office today and will work a full one. There's a lot to do today. The kids are doing well. No drama, no conflicts lately.

Wishing you a Tuesday free of conflict and drama :sword:

Good morning friends,

Sharon, as always, your schedule exhausts me ~ I don't know how you do it with a difficult child.
:wildone:

Oops, Sharon (ldm), we must have been typing at the same time. I hope your headache doesn't become too severe. Take it easy today.

:coffee2: The coffee is going down quickly this morning ~ like Sharon, I'm finding it difficult to be awake. It seems a morning to sleep until at least 8 or so.

My dad hits town this afternoon & I'm so excited. With all that's been going on around here it's been over a year since I have seen him. He's taking his time on the 6 hour drive & my sister handed him her cell phone to use.

So....I'll be straightening up the house a bit & making a pasta sauce for dinner tonight. husband would like cheese cake but that may be stretching my energy levels; may check out the local bakery.

Enjoy your day all.

Good Morning Everyone:coffee:,

Sharon, Your day is so BUSY!!! I hope it goes quickly and you enjoy the last meeting of your book club.

Sharon, I hope you feel better soon!!! I think it's a good idea that you're trying to get ahead of the pain. Keep taking whatever medication works best for you!!! I hope the day goes by fast and you get some much needed peace and quiet this evening!!!

Linda, Enjoy the visit with your Dad!!! I love cheesecake!!! I think a trip to your local bakery sounds like a great idea.

Today I have to go to work for a bit, physical therapy, then a quick trip to BJ's on my way to pick up my difficult children at school. It looks like I'll be eating lunch in the car, lol... Anyway, with food prices as high as they are, it's worth the stop at BJ's. I need milk, OJ, bread, spinach, and fruit. All of these things are much cheaper there than at any of my local supermarkets.

As always, I hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today...:flower: WFEN

G'day, people.

Sharon/Wiped, I hope you get to your book club. There's nothing like going into reader's withdrawal... how will you manage over the break?

Sharon/LDM, I hope the headache eases off for you.

Linda, enjoy the visit with your father.

WFEN, sounds like you have a busy day.

mother in law & I had our monthly GP appointments today. husband was off for the day but had to go out later to see his podiatrist, so he & I played ships in the night, taking turns staying with difficult child 3 while he did his schoolwork.

After the doctor, mother in law & I did our shopping. I also bought some millet to bribe the budgies with, the website I found said budgies are tarts for millet. I tested that this afternoon - they're right! I think we'll even be able to train our 2 year old totally anxious budgie into being more cooperative.

We've just had a late dinner - pork was going cheap again, about a third the price of beef, the next cheapest protein. So we had the sort of evening meal we usually only reserve for festive occasions. But it took a lot longer to roast. And now we have a lot of leftover roast pork.

The doctor's scales gave me some good news - I've lost more weight than I thought. At this rate I'll be a shadow of my former self by the time I see the specialist again. And hopefully I'll be able to justify a special outfit for difficult child 1's wedding in November.

Tomorrow is another (school)day, but Thursday we have to take difficult child 3 into his correspondence school for a state-wide test. The test is also today and tomorrow, but the school has asked us to give the kids those tests at home, probably next week. These tests are just our state government wanting some idea of how their education system is working. A waste of time, for difficult child 3. Practice, maybe, for when it really DOES matter.

Enjoy your Tuesday, everyone.
