Good Tuesday Morning!

:swimming:Good Morning everyone from the steamy Virginia!

Just heard a report on the news that we've had more heat-related deaths in the last week than we normally do all summer in our state. It is miserable. The lack of rain doesn't help. I know we heard firetrucks all Sunday night - I ran the sprinkler for 2 hours in the yard before we set off our fireworks Sunday.

Today I will stay inside as much as possible!!!! I'm heading out to do the watering now and then I will head to the office. I should be there most of the day and then I'll come straight home and see what, if anything, difficult child wants to get into.

Hope your day is a good one - if you are in the heat zone, stay cool :water_happy: and safe.

Sharon, we are looking forward to 3 93 degree days in a row. Humidity is higher than Virginia - but 105 was brutal when I was there!

Stay cool!

Good morning all from very hot, steamy Raleigh. It is brutal. Not a cloud in the sky and everything is droopy or turning brown even with watering. We went up into the mountains but it was still 93 and beastly midday. Had to get out in the morning and evenings to enjoy any sort of pleasant weather.
I may have to go to Pittsburgh for a funeral and I'm not looking forward to NO air conditioning. I may sleep in my car. LOL.
Still no jobs for difficult child. Sigh.
Hope you are all staying cool. I plan to pull the blinds down and stay inside.

Good Morning!

Sharon-Your heat sounds fierce! Stay cool!

Wendy-Sounds miserable in your neck of the world too-stay cool girl!

Here it isn't as hot but it is very humid and we are in for another day of clouds with rain possibilities. In June we had over 8 inches and I sure hope we aren't in for a repeat in July. Those blood sucking mosquitoes are out in full force here-yuck!! The other day I felt like I was in a horror movie when I was out mowing the lawn and had forgotten to spray myself down-the mosquitoes kept descending-I felt like they were playing with me-one on my arm, then one on my face, next my neck, legs, and so on...

Busy day ahead. husband will take easy child/difficult child to summer school and head to a therapist appointment. I will bring difficult child to his own therapist appointment and then find out where I need to bring him for camp. husband will pick up easy child/difficult child and we will then go to a staffing on difficult child. After that husband is going to a casino with his sister who is in town and I'll have to head back to pick up difficult child.

After that I am going to make meatball subs for dinner. They are a healthy version that taste great!

Wishing everyone a peaceful day!

Hi Fran,
You snuck in on me. No air conditioning in that heat sounds unbearable. Prayers going up that a job becomes available for difficult child soon.

G'day, folks. Not so cold here, still damp and drizzly today. Very tired, a busy day. Feel like avoiding mother in law for awhile, but can't really. She's not the easiest to get on with when she's off-balance but I can handle it. difficult child 3 can't. Time for me to run interference again for the next few weeks, it seems.

I'm off to bed ASAP. Change dressings, get some sleep.

Hopefully a quiet day tomorrow until choir tomorrow night. I need to help niece make pasta in the morning. Then Thursday will be a very buy day for me. But hopefully I can keep mother in law & difficult child 3 apart until the weekend.

Enjoy your Tuesday.

Good morning everyone~ Wow, everyone seems to be up early and busy today!

I see the weather is the big topic of the day...New England has been issued a heat index warning, we're supposed to hit 100 today, wow. I closed everything up early this morning and set the two bedroom AC's on low just to keep it cooler for the dogs. I hate running them during the day, but I have no choice today - there is really no way to escape the choking heat. I went in my pool all day yesterday and was still sweating and feeling heat exhaustion. We even left a holiday party last evening early because I just couldn't bear it. I guess my hormones (or lack thereof) weren't helping!

Today I am packing for my trip up to Maine to see my girlfriend who has a lake camper for the rest of the week. I have about 4 loads of laundry to do, mostly pool towels, and then I can throw it all in the trunk - can't wait to leave! I'm taking one dog with me because she's quiet, older and loves to swim. I think she will enjoy it and not be much of a bother at all. difficult child was going to come with me, but has opted to stay home and continue her quest for a job (I feel for your son Fran, the market is very slow out there). I glad she's using her sense about this.

I dropped off the littlest dog (yorkie) for a puppy cut today. She's having a hard time with the heat and I just felt so bad for her. easy child will be annoyed that I had all her hair cut off, but since I am the primary caregiver of everyone, I feel it's my choice!

Other than that, like everyone else, I'm just going to try and stay cool, maybe jump in the pool a few times!

Enjoy the day and stay safe!
