Good wednesday morning

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is another very humid, warm day for this time of year. The sky looks like it's about to pour any minute and we're probably going to get some thunderstorms too. I'm not even attempting my morning walk/jog today. Instead, I'm going for the extra caffeine:coffee2:!!!

I'm meeting a good friend today for lunch. I'm really looking forward to spending some time with her. I've known her longer than I've known my husband, lol... Should be a nice afternoon:D.

difficult child 2 has his social skills group after school. I get an additional hour and a half before having to pick him up!!!

As always, hope everyone has at least one reason to laugh or at least smile today... SFR

Good morning all ~

SFR, isn't it fun to meet friends/loved ones for a meal & good company? Enjoy your lunch today.

I'm waking to snow showers & very high wind gusts. Of course this is the morning I must get out early - into the rush hour with miss kt. Ain't life grand?

Here's to a good day all - keep it calm out there. :crazydriver:

:windy:Good Middle of the Week Morning!

SFR, sounds like a great day you have planned! Spend that extra 90 minutes with your friend recharging the battery! Have fun.

Linda, SNOW, did you say SNOW?????!!!!!! We are in the high 70's already with early thunder storms and wind! Couldn't have more opposite weather! Be careful out there!

easy child is coming over shortly and we are going to prep for a big community sale I've decided to do. About 70 minutes southwest of here there is a big craft/christmas/tag sale at the local community center. Apparently it pulls folks in from several counties. I've decided to delay some of my ebay listings and try and move some stuff down there. My good friend from college (who was here this weekend) told me about it and he and I are sharing a double space.

That should occupy my entire day till difficult child pickup....

Hope your day is productive and stress free!

G'day, people.

SFR, enjoy the long lunch and the break from difficult child 2!

Linda, sounds like winter has arrived.

Sharon/LDM, I hope you can take advantage of the Christmas sale.

We've had cooler weather today with threatened rain, but apart form a few dry thunderclaps and a lot of wind, nothing more. I managed to mulch the garden bed but it was difficult in the wind.

I've been home today but still feeling rushed with tasks. I got some medications organised for husband, completed a government-based health check and posted it off and got all the 'down the shops' stuff sorted at the same time. Saw a shopkeeper who wants to stock some of my books (yay!) and then got stopped by someone wanting me to work on another committee. Tonight I made a point of talking to head of that committee (she goes to the same opera class). And in there I managed to double-check easy child 2/difficult child 2's scheduled hospital surgery. A good thing, too - easy child 2/difficult child 2 was having to organise her work shifts so she would still have some work next week, but not on the day or surgery. She only gets two shifts a week, today would have been the last work shift before the surgery, and she is only contactable during her lunch hour. So I spent her lunch hour trying to find out. And it turned out - they had postponed her surgery, again, and were going to let her know via a letter. So she would have reorganised her shifts, or reluctantly told her boss she wouldn't be able to work (and would have had to borrow money form us for the rent) only to find there had been no need.

So tomorrow morning I have three things to do:

1) ring the surgeon who has been trying to smooth things over and had rescheduled things, let him know of the mess NOW and ask what we do about the need for more blood tests;

2) ring a private specialist I got the name for and see if we can organise this with a totally different doctor in a private hospital - husband & I will pay for it if we have to;

3) put my complaints in writing and probably also find a good lawyer.

Somewhere in there I have to finish some work in the garden and also get more work done on the computer. I have a lot of work to do in a very short time. This was all supposed to be out of the way and easy child 2/difficult child 2's problems should never have been left so long. VERY unhappy!

I have a headache! Fortunatley sweet puppy let me sleep till about 7:30. It was fun taking her outside and watch her discover what snow is. She investigated and then ran and jumped around in it. Walking in slush didn't stop her but I have to find our boots because it stopped me! :) - I might need new ones this year.

School is 2 hours late but the forcast is severe weather between 9:30 and noon and snow continues all day - I think I will keep difficult child home today regardless of the school schedule. If I don't feel like I can get out in this then I am not putting him on the bus. I am certain they will haul all the kids to school - maybe feed them lunch and haul them back home closing early.

Good morning everyone!

SRF - enjoy lunch with your friend, it sounds wonderful!
Linda - I am covering my ears re: snow (Lalalalalalalaalalalala, I can't hear you!)!
Sharon, I love tag saling, especially in a booth with lots of other people! I hope you make $$~
Marg - good luck tomorrow, which will be our nighttime. I hope it all goes well. Sending a positive thought.
Andy, glad you're all safe and sound. I love when our little pup lets me sleep until 7!

In the office today - lots to do! And this evening our normal class will be held on line, that should be interesting. Other than that it's humid and damp outside - heavy rains and just icky. Glad to be indoors today!

Have a great day everyone~

SFR, I really hope you thoroghly enjoy your day. It sounds wonderful.

TL, I know how you feel. Early morning with snow slapping us in the face.

LDM, good luck at the sale. Hold on to your hat, umbrella, and whatever else you think might be helpful.

Marg, sorry to hear you're still having issues. Go get 'em. It all sounds utterly ridiculous. Do you ever just take down time for yourself? You are always so busy with everyone/everything else.

Andy, it all missed us for the most part. We have some flakes but that's about it. Good luck at home today. It's probably a smart choice to keep difficult child home. Our school tends to do the same thing so they can count it as a school day and don't have touse a snow day.

I'm indoors today, too. I have a bunch of paperwork that I need to get caught up on for 4-H. I'm also going to make myself get all my ducks in a row for difficult child's IEP on Monday. I'm going armed this time!
