Gooseberries?

The neighbor's granddaughter brought her some "sour cherries", the likes of which my neighbor never saw. Turns out they're gooseberries, probably cape gooseberries. She didn't want to deal with them, though she is an excellent cook, so she gave them to me. I really don't think there are enough for a pie. Seems it would be a pretty skimpy pie. I'm thinking cobbler or crisp. Anyone have any suggestions?

Then again, maybe the answer is a smaller pie plate....

I vote cobbler---much easier than pie, and I love the taste more.
My favorite recipie--1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, 1 stick melted butter, 1 cup milk
Mix, pour over sweetened fruit, bake until rich caramel color on top. Center will be warm and dumpling like(ok, I coudn't think of a better word)

I am partial to crisps, mainly because they are so easy to make. And since you just have a few of the berries, it wouldn't take very long to whip up a tasty little treat :)

My mom makes wine out of them. Actually, she makes wine out of any berry she finds.(Some of it is not so good.)
