Younger Difficult Child graduates from alternative school Monday after taking final test! She won't get the HS diploma until graduation day in May. But she will have completed all the requirements!

Then, on the way home from school we stopped at Papa Murphys to pick up an application...and she was hired on the spot! Starts Tuesday morning! And she will be working mostly days! The college students were on winter break and go back to classes soon! Plus it is about 6 blocks from our house!

Good day! Last year, about this time, she was running away from home and using meth! This past year has been difficult. But maybe new things are on the horizon...

ksm, I am thankful and glad for you. Congratulations to you! This is as much (if not more) about you (your commitment and perseverance), as well as your granddaughter. You have accomplished your goal of rescuing, and seeing her through to this accomplishment. If left to herself, she may well not have reached this finish line.
But maybe new things are on the horizon...
  • I do hope with this part of the journey over, that you will be able to relax your constant "watch" a bit and see new things for yourself on the horizon.
  • And also for your granddaughter, that with this success under her belt, she will see and set better goals for herself on the horizon, that will then be her own accomplishment(s).
~ One day at a time ~ Good job! Take care.
