Heard my grandbaby's heartbeat for the first time

I took Justin's girlfriend to her first doctor's appointment last week and I was the first one who got to hear the baby's heartbeat (well, along with the Mommy-to-be!).

Let me tell you, it was the most awesome, touching, fantastic thing in my life. Almost as wonderful as hearing both of my boy's heartbeats.

It really made it all so REAL! She was tearing up and so was I. She is due (tentatively, until the ultrasound) on January 1st. They will be doing the ultrasound and getting a more definite due date in about a month.

I am just over the moon and can't wait to meet my new little one. :dance:

I got to do that with the last 3 grandkids, and be present for the birth. Puts grandparenting on a whole new level.
