HP Scanner?

I remember someone writing several weeks back that they were having problems with their HP scanner not working. My friend is having the same type problem. Did it ever get worked out?

Witz,

I was having issues with the scanning function on my HP 4580 printer/copier/scanner.

It worked properly for several months and then just the scanner part began to misbehave. It was as if the software - driver was no longer being recognized.

Things seem to be back on track; I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software.
