I am a lost parent!

<sigh>
The only way to get an evaluation that covers all the bases, is to have a TEAM approach. Even with neuropsychologist, that doesn't usually happen.
We were told to get Occupational Therapist (OT) and Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) done before any other evaluations.
Then, all who follow will USE that info... and Occupational Therapist (OT) is the one that tests for sensory issues. (and motor skills...)
They won't listen to YOU, you're "just a parent". (welcome to the club)
But if an Occupational Therapist (OT) says your child has sensory integration issues... he/she does.

We had to pay for Occupational Therapist (OT) evaluations out of pocket. It was worth it. (harder to pay for therapy, it is on-going)
