Europe. I'd start in Norway in the summer and work my way down to the Mediterranean and hit every single romance country in between. I'd hang out in Turkey and Greece and Italy and France and Germany and the Czech Republic. I'd take months to do it. I'd head over the channel and do the British Isle next.

I've always wanted to go to Greece. I love the history of the country, the beauty of their statues, the blue of their water. One day!

Another one here for New Zealand. :) I want to go to all the places that were in the Lord of the Rings movies. :) The country is sooooooooo beautiful! :)

A cruise with stops in Australia and Tahiti! I've always wanted to see the Land Down Under with it's exotic wildlife and friendly people. And Tahiti just blows me away with it's tropical beauty! I'd love to stay in one of the thatched roof, open-sided cabana-like places on the beach. This is a dream trip that we'll probably never have the good fortune to go on, but I can dream, can't I ?!

Jennifer -- husband and I went to Aruba for our 25th anniversary. We loved it! I never felt so relaxed in my whole life as I did when I was there. And it is a safe island. We rode bicycles around, took the city bus, walked around.

If I could go anywhere now, I'm not really sure. husband and I used to talk about wanting to go to Tahiti one day. I just don't know if I feel comfortable enough with flying anymore. We have not flown since 9/11.

What good timing. I spent yesterday searching the Internet for possibilities for a 25th anniversary trip.

husband wants to go to Hawaii. I want to go on a cruise. We could do both, of course, with a cruise around the Hawaiin islands. But I'm not sure if that's what I really want to do.

husband has enough frequent flyer miles built up to take us on 4 roundtrip vacations. Or, we could use them all on flights to Hawaii (first class).

I'm leaning toward several smaller trips. What to do????

Nomad ~ husband and I went to Williamsburg last December. We had a wonderful time. We stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast ~ let me know when you go and I'll PM you the name. I highly recommend going around the holidays. Just take a winter coat ~ it's a little colder than your sunny Florida. :grins:

Kathy, my in-laws took the cruise around the Hawaiin islands last year and loved it - absolutely loved it. They got to see everything without a lot of running around and some of their favorite places twice! They said the excursions off the ship were great.

Nomad, my easy child spent 5 months working an externship in Williamsburgh VA - there is much to see in and around the area. It is beautiful and has a lot of history. Nearby Jamestown is really a great little town to walk around and there are sidewalk shows, etc. Very cool, we went there for a few days while she was there and had a great time. We also hit Busch Gardens, which was also fun.

I would love to take a trip along the Meditteranean also; I want to visit Madrid, Spain and parts of France. I want to go to Florence, Italy & Tuscay Italy and Sardenia Italy...and maybe Rome at least just to see the Vatican and say I was there! I know a young woman who went to the Turkish Islands and said "although the ride in was treacherous, it was worth the risk"...apparently you have to ride on tiny gravelly dangerously narrow roads to get in that area. She and her friends actually slept on the beaches there - she said it was amazing.

In the US I'd like to see Utah during the Sundance Festival. I'd like to head up to northermost parts of Maine, and I'd like to see Seattle. I can't think of the other places, but I know there are more!

Maybe now that I'm a time share owner and soon my kids will not be sponging off me, I can start planning.

Nomad...I was born and raised in Richmond so I spent quite a lot of time in and around the Williamsburg area. Go around the Thanksgiving/Christmas holidays. It is beautiful as Kathy said. We took the boys one year for Turkey Day and they had a blast. They have all these little shows put on from the Revolutionary War that are just fantastic. You will feel like you are looking back in time.

ahhhh...I would go to a deserted cabin in Oregon. No technology, no phone, etc. I might actually be able to write the book I've always wanted to.

I'd bring enough food that would carry me through the winter, and grow what I needed during the summer. Don't need to go to town. I guess I'm a hermit.

I'd go to the North Pole - See Santa, get a magic globe from an elf, ride back on a reindeer and sprinkle magic over all our kids. :crazy1:
