Infected Ear Piercing - Update

One of my daughters and I can only wear wire earrings. Any kind of post makes our ears infected but wires, even the cheap kind, don't. I can now wear posts for short times.

LOL, the doctor mentioned something along those lines when we were leaving.

That's interesting about the post vs. wires. I wonder why?

Yup, these are expensive ears. Insurance did pick up some of it, so I didn't have to swallow the whole thing but it was still a big chunk. I kept weighing if it was all really worth it but this girlie is very fashion conscious and I knew darn well that she'd be wanting them pierced again a few years down the road when she hit junior high. I figured it best to put some extra effort into the original piercing than to go at it again with extra scar tissue in there.
