For some reason I was checking facebook for some old friends and the name of a girl I knew in jr high stuck in my head. She is mentioned on fb and there is quite a bit about her on the web. I was surprised. We were two geeks in a pod back then. She was a huge sci-fi buff.
The first mention of her was about a fan book she wrote about a very popular set of characters from a series of movies. MANY mentions of her using another person's characters for her own story - a set of characters she loved even back then. Finally I found a photo and it most certainly is the same person I knew.
I didn't really expect to find her, but it was sort of nice to see that she is still true to her self - regardless of other people's ideas of who she is.
I am still looking for her email or contact info, but it brought a smile to my face and happy memories to my heart.
