Is it bad that I want to strangle him already?

The kids were completely surprised. We walked into the house and L, the 7 year old boy, was sitting on the couch. He saw difficult child and just sat there and stared at him for a minute before smiling and saying, "You're not in jail" like we were trying to trick him. LOL Of course then he launched himself at difficult child and didn't let go for a little bit. His sister M heard the comotion, came into the room and made a nice little leap herself. It was fun!

After his little field trip though, difficult child had to call us twice to try to get us to get him out. The no leaving for two weeks thing is putting a hamper on his "have to do this right NOW" plans, he doesn't like it, he knows what he needs to do, he needs to get out and advertise for his comedy act blah blah blah.

This is going to be fun.

No, first he has to try open mic night somewhere, then he has to get a gig somewhere doing it, THEN he has to advertise the gig. But they can explain that to him. Glad his field trip went well. How are you holding up?

Well the good thing about being really tense with uptight shoulders?...If you really do it right your shoulder pads can act as EARPLUGS and drown out anything a difficult child says.

The downside to that is (picture it visually for those who are not uptight with their collar bones resting on their cheeks) You tend to look like you're incapable of making a staunch decision on ANYTHING, and you could end up with a puppy, and a pizza - when what you really wanted was a night alone and a good glass of wine. (you just looked like you didn't care when asked silly questions because you were in perpetual shrug mode see?)
