totoro
Mom? What's a difficult child?
K and N and I made really cute lanterns tonight!
(For the inlaws )
Anyhooo~ We used a pickle jar and another cool jar that was a salsa jar.
You need tissue paper... any color. We used red and another with candy canse and snowflakes. 2 pieces total!
and modge-podge! We had the glossy kind but you can use the matte kind also.
Oh, and a paint brush, about 1/2 inch to an inch wide.
couple of tea lights
Rip up the tissues paper into various sizes...
paint the clean jars with the modge-podge
stick the tissue paper all over it in varying designs and patterns.
Paintover it with more modge-podge
let it dry
put the candle in and light!!!
You can also wrap wire around the rim and make a hanger or use string
This way you can hang them outside!
They are so cute when they are lit!!!
It took us about an hour, with the 4 and 7 yo.
they dry really fast.
List if items:
Pickle or other pretty jar
tissue paper, any color
Modge-podge
paint brush
tea light
string or wire if hanging
