In Spite of Ourselves - John Prine and Iris Dement

On a more serious vein:
If - by Bread - husband and I played this at my son's recent wedding.

Well, I don't do sappy :ill:

....but if I had to pick, it would be "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback. I'm an idealist. I like the theme.

Loth,

I'll Still Be Loving You was played at my wedding to my DEX, so needless to say, that's not my favorite song anymore

I Love The Way You Love Me by John Michael Montgomery is one of my favorites. That will probably be the one we use when we get married.

I don't have many, because we listen to all heavy metal here LOL. I don't know too many Metallica love songs

Oh Lordy, I have so many favorite love songs. I was going to list some of them but I don't know their titles so no one would be able to recognize them anyway. Gotta love old age and memory issues.

I guess I should say that I love ALL love songs.

Diehard romantic :flower: Suz

I'm not a big country fan but I've loved since it came out the song The One by.......um.......Gary something??? Absolutey beautiful song.

When hubby and I got married, "our" song was a rock ballad! lol When Love Walked In by Thunder.

Also country, Cowboy Take Me Away by the Dixie Chicks. I've also been partial to Hello by Lionel Richie, You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker.........and now I'm going blank.

I could probably make a list a mile long, but I think my all-time favorite is:

Everything I do (Robin Hood song) by Bryan Adams. I think that song pretty much says it all.

OK - so maybe I do sappy sometimes...cause you guys have reminded me of a few songs/artists that I really like and am unable to change the station when they come on:

Eric Clapton (who now has a residence my county, by the way)
John Michael Montgomery
and Gary Allen (for mustangchic)

Those boys do know how to do love songs.

But my favorite is still "If Everyone Cared" by Nickelback - may have something to do with the fact that it's been rolling around in my head all day.

"Gimme Just a Little More Time" by Chairmen of the Board. It is husband and my song. We were going steady (OK, they call it going out these days), and I wasn't sure how I felt about him. He brought over this record (yep, a record) and played it over and over for me. He said those were his feelings for me. Well, it wasn't long before I knew he was the one for me. And here we are 31 years later.
