My husband and I watched a video tonight, "Mozart and the Whale," about a couple with-Asperger's who fall in love. It was very good. The last movie I saw like that had Dustin Hoffman and it was umpteen gazillion years ago. The people in this film were highly functional and it was a great love story.
It's nice to see Asperger's treated like a quirk rather than a disease. The film lent a great humanity to the characters, much like One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Always that fine line between eccentricity and total over-the-top inability to function.
