Thanks for the reassurance. Sometimes I have these "light bulb" moments where I think in my old age that I come accross as judgemental or "all knowing". Fact of the matter is I am neither...but, lol, sometimes I should chill a bit more in my responses no matter how sincere. I'm glad I don't have to worry about your interpretations. I really do care. :thumbsup: DDD

Hi Nancy, I just wanted to say that I think your approach is both realistic and compassionate. You aren't going to be fooled by 'slips' into old
behaviors that are rationalized away, but you are providing positive reinforcement for positive actions that your difficult child takes. You are giving her
something to compare her street life to; when she is ready to say 'enough', she'll remember it. Sending good wishes and thoughts to you.
