New law in Indiana....I'm not so sure about it

Going Green
It's a law protecting teachers from frivolous lawsuits if they discipline a child in the classroom. I understand the reasoning behind it.....parents who go off if someone so much as looks at their child funny. But I have to wonder how this will affect difficult children who may have an overzealous teacher. I would hope common sense would prevail and that anyone who goes overboard would be called onto the carpet but .....there are "those" schools.

Shooting from the Hip
Discipline is one thing, abuse is another.

This could be a very good thing, or it could go horribly wrong. Only time will tell, and I would bet it does both.

I would think - don't get me wrong, I know how the system works unfortunately - but if a teacher beats a child, there would be enough evidence to go to the police. That right there says it's not a frivolous lawsuit. Then again, a lawsuit might not be necessary depending.
