Online banking question

Thru my bank's website, I canpay a bill once or set up re-occuring automatic payments. Then thru my auto insurance company's website, I can set up automatic payments. I happened to do it thru my insurance company's website- do I need to do anything with my bank or will this suffice? I'm sick and tired of taking off work to go to these places to ask these questions simply because you can't get a human on the phone anymore and whatever is open on Sat. mornings isn't enough- I had to spend most of this morning standing in line at DMV.

You should set up your automatic payments at one or the other - but NOT BOTH.

If you set up your payment plan with the insurance company, you do not need to do anything with your bank.

Ditto what Daisy Face just said. Your life will be sooo much easier handling your bill paying this way.

OK- I just wanted to make sure it would get paid without me doing something with my bannk, too- but wanted to make sure it didn't get paid twice! thank you!

I tend to use the one at my bank, because it's easier to adjust the payment date with husband getting paid every other Fri instead of a regularly scheduled date. And Daisy gave the right advice.
