Just a helpful tip: If you do decide to move, and you really should try all these other avenues first. But if you do, be sure you don't pack any mice in your boxes and take them along! It would be so easy for them to hitch a ride to your next place.

See...I am a retreatist (if there is such a word). Even *if* the landlord does what is necessary through courts, etc., I wouldn't want to live there anyways. It sets up a long path of arguments, etc.

I know moving stinks. Deposit, first and last month, all that junk. Not to mention the physical thing of doing it. Heck...I'm 8 months in and I still have not unpacked all my boxes.

I would say your best course of action is to pay for the exterminator yourself to negate any angry stuff from the landlord. I know that is hard.

So, what does the exterminator say? If you were not home for his visit and do not like what he said, get a second opinion from an exterminator who will come when you are home to show him the evidence and answer questions.
