Picture of my granddaughter

It made me so happy to see her, MWM. We have all been waiting, too! Please thank mom and dad for letting you share her with us. Knowing she had been born was really fun ~ but seeing her picture just put a big warm in my heart!

Here is a picture idea that I hope you will discuss with the parents, MWM. So, the newborn baby sits in her father's hands. Best to do this without clothing. We have done that three times in our family. The babies grow so quickly that by the time your little one is a toddler, no one will believe she was actually small enough to rest so comfortably in her father's hands.

This makes a beautiful picture. Close up. All you see are the father's hands and the baby, cupped within them. You will know (and so will mom and so will dad) that those are his hands.

One of the fathers we have this kind of picture from in our family was missing part of one finger. You would think that would have made the picture eerie, but it didn't.

That baby is seven years old, now.
