Pictures of my little foster pup

Here he is. These aren't the greatest but I've given up trying to do it the right way. He's got so much brindle on him, it almost looks like tiger strips but it doesn't show as much in the pictures. He's the cutest little one-eyed Boston boy in middle Tennessee!

In this one, he's demolishing one of his new toys ...

Aw....what a sweetheart, Donna. What a good person you are. How are your other babies adapting?

They've tolerated him, probably because he's a boy. If I brought another female in though, they'd probably have a fit!

I've kept them separated though - we play 'musical crates'. I was afraid that if they didn't get along, he might get hurt. He's half Katy's size and he's still recovering from surgery and the rest of his ordeal.

What a sweetie! My neigbor's have a Boston....his name is Romeo. He'll come to the fence when I'm outside and just look at me until I go pet him. Then he just leans into the fence and groans when I pet him. They seem like the sweetest dogs.

OH HOW CUTE!!!!!

Are you going to be able to give him up????

Have you heard of "A Place to Bark and Meow?" I go to their website all the time. They are located in Portland, TN and bring animals to Chicago regularly. The woman who runs it is an angel. I think her first name is Bernie...I'd have to check the site. Mostly I read the updates and look at her rescues.

Here's the website. Hey, vote for Alfie!!! She said she's pulling out of the contest, but she deserves to win!!!! If Alfie wins it's a lot of money for this wonderful rescue.

MWM, Trace's adoption will be arranged through a rescue in Clarksville, TN. It's a small dog rescue rather than strictly a Boston Rescue, but Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee is having them handle it because they're closer to where I live. He has his own page on Petfinder. I sent her a whole page of additional info on him but she hasn't added it to his profile yet.

I was supposed to turn him over to them next weekend and they would have been putting him in another foster home there until he was adopted. But I'm going to ask her if they could handle the screenings and the adoption but let me continue to keep him here till he was adopted. He's been shuttled around so much already and he's happy and settled and secure here now. There's a girl on my Boston internet board who desperately wants him. She just recently lost one of her two Bostons and the one that died was also missing her right eye, just like Trace. It would be great if they got him because then I could keep up with him. She's putting in an application.

How wonderful that Trace already has someone who wants to adopt him! I found both Chloe and Rufus via Petfinder so I'm certainly partial. :)

He went to the vet this morning and got his stitches out from his neutering and his eye surgery. Taking wire stitches out of the eyelid of a squirming dog is really tricky! They said he's healed up very nicely though. And they said that his weight, 17.8 lbs., is perfect for his size and build. I guess he just looked thin to me because my other two are both little butterballs! He has a big soft swelling under his jaw on one side but it doesn't seem to bother him a bit. They drew a little fluid from it and said looked like an infected salivary gland, only a problem if it gets bigger, so he's got more antibiotics to take for that for another week.

And everybody there commented about what a pretty little guy he is, even with just one eye! He has such a gorgeous face and that beautiful brindle coat! I would love to keep him but I would be spreading myself so thin if I had four dogs, it wouldn't be fair to any of them.
