LMS, It was great to talk to you! My mom is doing FAR better than we expected. She doesn't have to go back for 3 months. There is a numerical value put on how bad your liver is doing. It ranges from 6 (best score) to 40 (worst score). We finally heard that her score is 12, which is VERY good when you have had a liver disease for as many decades as she has. She has gained a lot of fluid around her middle, and it bothers her. Her weight hasn't gone up at all and she only gained it in one place. When she gains weight, it goes in a predictable way and none of those areas have gained any weight. She and my dad really like heating up frozen food. But she is supposed to be on a no-alcohol, super low sodium diet for the next 3 months. Jessi and I are planning to go over and cook a bunch of meals up and freeze them in containers. That way she will have the foods she wants, but they will be healthy for her. We still have no idea what the lump in her abdomen is though. But it doesn't hurt, so we are following her lead and ignoring it. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. It really means a lot to us!
