Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - remember 2009?

With the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony here this weekend I have been thinking about our 2009 CD get together in Cleveland. Of course I am watching all of the tv coverage from the hall and reminiscing about our visit there two years ago. Wish you all were here to enjoy the festivities. If we ever have another get together here we have a lot of new attractions including an awesome aquarium, a brand new casino opening in May and great restaurants, shops and condos/apartments being built on the river in the flats. All of this is within a couple miles of each other and we are so excited for our city.

But this weekend I am thinking of all my friends from here that came in 2009 and enjoyed the Rock and Roll Hall on that gorgeous sunny July day.

That was such a good time wasnt it? I was just thinking about it the other night when watching DWTS and Gladys Night said something about being in there.

I think about the reunion every time I sip coffee from my R&R HoF mug.

I was just thinking about it, too, when I read an article that Axl Rose declined the honor and the RRHOF decided to ignore him and put him in anyway!!!

I loved that. I want to come back soon...

I would love to be there to watch the ceremonies. We had a good time that day, I remember it well.

I didn't go to the museum but I certainly remember how much fun the visit with my CD family was that weekend!

Good morning, Your reunion sounds incredible. Can you tell me a little about it? Do you have reunions often? Were there a lot of people who showed up? I can see how everyone would have that 'special' connection because of all the shared experiences and shared issue with our kids. It must have been an awesome time!

it was a blast. I think I still have the cd on my computer, let me check.

Its on my desktop, I will have to log on there to get it unless anyone else still has the link I sent them. If they do, it will still work.

Thanks Suz, I actually have those pics on my computer and my screen saver is a slideshow of random pics and for some reason the CD reunion pics always show up. It was a great time.

I haven't been to Cleveland (yet) - I just wish I had the chance to meet you all. I've been on the boards since August '11. Though it feels like a lifetime since then...

but the pictures inspired me to map it out - my boys would love the hall of fame and it's exactly halfway between our house and NY - and I am trying to talk H into a road trip to visit NY family this summer...so maybe we will stop there!

Oh Sig I had to laugh, I thought you meant you lived seeing the RRHOF and you meant the pics.

I'd be thrilled if you came here this summer. husband and I would love to meet you and your family. I may even get easy child to come. Don't plan it for July 8-14 because easy child and I will be in Vegas.
