I know the Milwaukee area had terrible storms, power outages, and that the flooding caused a sinkhole to open at the intersection of North and Oakland Aves.

My BFF tells me that they got nearly eight inches of rain in a very short time, and more rain with ongoing flooding was expected.

She also told me that funnel clouds were sighted, and that they are sandbagging along rivers in Kenosha and Racine Counties.

Please check in and let us know you are OK...assuming you have power. BFF's power was out for 23 hours due to downed lines and a blown transformer.

We ended up with just under 4 inches of rain. Many funnel clouds reported in the area. The lights flickered a bit but we never lost power in our part of Madison. The sky was something to see. We had bits of flash flooding but nothing major here. Hope everyone else is o.k.

Keep us posted. I know we have quite a few board members from that area. I live in North Central WI and this one missed us completely.

How about Iowa? Everyone safe there with the flood evacuations?
