She got her first paycheck!

Miss KT has been working at our church, doing childcare, and got her paycheck today! She cashed it, got her hair cut, put some gas in the truck, but then told me she wants to save some of it so she has money next week. What? She's thinking ahead a little bit? And she's decided that she likes working with kids, so she's planning on taking classes this summer at the community college. She'll need 12 units in early childhood education to be able to work in a day care, so she figures she'll take 6 this summer, then the others next year along with her high school work, so she'll be eligible to apply for jobs when she finishes high school. I am so surprised and pleased at this show of maturity!
