So......after the infamous L showed up last Saturday morning ~

I got on the road to meet my sisters & SILs for a couple of days at the casino in the Dells. Not a bad trip ~ 3 hours away.

I won $185 with an investment of $20. I was feeling lucky but left the slots while I was ahead of the game. My sis & I sat & watched & chatted while the rest of the group cont'd to play.

I got on the road home on Sunday & got stuck in Eau Clare WI as the interstates were being shut down all around me. My winnings paid for a night in a king suite with Chinese delivered to my door. What a luxury & an extra night away from wonderland to boot.

I still smile at all the laughs & goofiness ~ it was such a fun time. I'm determined to sell my little house & move closer to family. It's sorely needed.

Just wanted to share my good fortune with you all.

Oh how wonderful! I was relaxed just reading about it. Yes, find a way to move closer to your family.

I am glad you stopped and stayed safe - that was a nasty storm. My neighbor was in the cities Saturday night but cut her visit short and drove home that night. She got home about midnight but a much safer drive than if she waited until Sunday to head back.

Thanks ladies, I had such a good time with my family. My sisters & SILs are some of my best friends & we laughed like crazy women. The annual cook off is coming up in March & will be spending time with my family again. It's a healing time for me.

Linda that sounds like a lovely weekend. I give you a lot of credit for venturing out in that weather, we were pretty much snowed in. I hope you do move closer to family, then those fun times can happen more often.
