TM, so sorry to hear about your MILs diagnosis. Be sad, it is OK. Consider what you would like to do that is special to create a loving memory for you, husband and difficult child.

I hope she will be pain free throughout her length of time. You have every right to be sad. Just remember to take care of yourself, too. Hugs to you.

Thank you everyone. I continue to feel down, but I really needed a day to just absorb the grief. My poor father in law has been in shock and has finally begun to accept that mother in law is terminal. I'm especially thankful that my church deacon went up to visit last night and helped mother in law find some peace. That has everyone feeling a little better.
