Something is up and it's not good

You mean to tell me that simple possession means you cant ever get financial aid? What if it happened 30 years ago? Like some of these displaced workers? People who have worked in plants all their lives and have to get retrained for something else. Maybe they got caught years ago in the 70s for smoking a joint and got a simple possession charge? They cant get a federal grant? That is nuts!

Drug conviction, even misdemeanor drug charges, are a disqualifier fof FAFSA loan, and difficult child was told this befoe she left for college. What she doesn't realize is that when she is on her own, she will never get a FAFSA loan because of this. It didn't mean anything to her when we were paying it, but it will follow her forever.
