Did you know that the people who are usually the strongest are usually also the most sensitive?
Did you know that people who exhibit the most kindness are usually the first to be mistreated?
Did you know that the one who takes care of others all the time is usually the one who needs care the most?
Do you know that the three hardest things to say are: I love you, I'm sorry, and Help me?

Thanks for sharing Steeley. Certainly it's something to remember. Personally I have no problem with I'm sorry or I love you...but...help me is not in my vocabulary except on the Board. Hugs. DDD

We learned how to say "Can you help me" in Russian so Kiddo wouldn't be embarrassed to ask for help and her schoolmates wouldn't know. I also use it to let her know she's too close to going over the line without having to say it in a way that would obviously be a public reprimand.

    Thanks Steely.
    Here's something I like (if I may):

Forget about the past, you can't change it.
Forget about the future, you can't predict it.
Forget about the present, I didn't get you one.

Malika there is a similar Native American proverb:

"Don't let yesterday use up too much of today."

.... don't let tomorrow use up too much of today, either.

UAN... You asked... An old boyfriend of mine, recovering addict:

If you stand with one foot in the past and one foot in the future, you p*ss all over today...

I recall it from Kung Fu Panda, but I know it's way older:

    Yesterday is a memory
    Tomorrow is a dream
Today is a gift, that's why it's called the present
