I think when weighting the possible results of each situation (her running off to God knows where or not eating)....the least dangerous is the not eating.
Still scary, but not as scary as getting stabbed by a stranger in a park. Because that is what is in your head when she is out without permission. She does not know that is the thought that enters your mind.
I would just tell her - go ahead and stop eating I will take you to to the ER when you pass out. It is still better than finding you in a ditch somewhere beaten raped or dead. I choose the not eating route....so no you still can not go out without permission and a full accounting of where you will be and who you will be with. Period. Ever. Not while you live here.
Does she ever worry about you? Have you ever been out without a cell phone and nobody knew where you were or why they could not reach you? Might be worth setting up with husband.
