easy child just went through her collection of stuffed animals. Now I know how tight things can be and or how collections can go. So if anyone likes them (we have lots of bunnies and dolphins and other various ones). Let me know and I am happy to ship to any loving home. Not a lot of places want them if they are used but they were well taken care of. I hate for them to be trashed if it isn't necessary.

Awww...been there done that many times. My daughter still has two from when she was a newborn.

You might try contacting either the police or fire department. Lots of times they keep them on board to soothe young kids. Don't know if they need new ones, but I would guess not.

See I am with the Red Cross and we give out stuffed animal's to the kids involved in stuff and we have an over abundance at this point.

Sooooooo what kind of stuff does your daughter like? Maybe I can send something to HER......a swap. If it were a swap that would mean I didn't just SEEK out the beanies - I in fact traded.

Her current obsession is build a bears (as is mine). Between us we have a ton. I don't get any of the same ones she has because I will eventually add what I have to her collection. Then she has some other assorted things that she likes but well hmmm....

I don't need any stuffed animals; however our attachment/adoption specialist uses any & all stuffed animals in his therapeutic setting. He's always looking for donations.

Another thought for you. We've donated toys & stuffed animals to women's shelters. Many times kids arrive at these facilities with their moms, scared & without any of their belongings & kids miss their favorite snuggly stuffed animal.

I was also going to suggest women's shelters. I used to donate the kids gently used toys to them all the time.

You could also post them onto Freecycle. We have a couple who live in the county. The man is Santa every year and his wife Mrs. Claus. They go around to families where the kids would otherwise get nothing and give them stuffed animals that have been donated. And since this is a very poor rural area, he has a ton of kids that need them.

I currently have a huge yard bag full of stuffed animals that are like brand new waiting for him to pick up.
