Summer music...

It's okay to call me kooky, but I've always associated certain genres of music and certain songs befitting of Spring and Summer.

Boz Scaggs (Jojo)
Kool & The Gang (She's Fresh)
Earth, Wind & Fire (September)
McFadden & Whitehead (Ain't No Stoppin Us Now)
Paul McCartney & Wings (Band on the Run)
Chicago (Another Rainy Day In New York City)
Seals & Crofts (Summer Breeze)
Kool & The Gang (Too Hot)
Bobby Caldwell (What You Won't Do For Love)

Anyone else have special, favourite, or make you feel good songs/groups that remind you of, or make you feel as though Summer has arrived/is here?

I remember only two and haven't heard either for decades

One was "In the Summertime" by a weird named group Mungo Jerry.

A better one was "Hot Fun in the Summertime" by the talented Sly and the Family Stone. Loved this song....but honestly never hear it.

Great additions ladies!

Love America and Foreigner!

One oldie that I still like to this day and one that reminds me of summer so much, is Up, Up And Away by the 5th Dimension. Love everything from the 5th.

I liked a lot of the 5th Dimension. Saw them in concert. They were very good. The two from Wedding Bell Blues, my favorite, actually married and are still married.

The video on YouTube for Wedding Bell Blues is cute and funny with him trying to hide at the wedding and his friends dragging him back.

Anybody like the son “Havana” by Camila Cabello?

My new favorite dance tune!

Of course I dance in the kitchen, when no one is looking, except maybe hubby....

Apple. I've never heard of it before. Will have to look it up.

Sure dancing in the house to music, I do that often. :)

Also love signing along to. :)

Lil. I love that song.

SOT. Lucky you! What a concert that must have been.

Reading this brought back fun memories.
I went to see America a couple of times. Dewey, Dan and Gerry.
Beach Boys always come to mind when I think of summer high school songs and concerts.
Now a days...
Thomas Rhett--Vacation, Anthem
Chris Young-- Nothin' but the cooler left, Save water Drink Beer, Gettin' You Home.
Billy Currington-- We are Tonight,
23 degrees and South (this is my calming, deep breath song)

Lucky you, Tired Out. Would have loved to see America, back in the day.

Fresh and alive music just makes one feel good inside.

Great list!
